"The potatoes are very large. You need to have a large appetite before you order them. The plain potatoe was cooked to perfection according to my husband. I ordered the Spud Max™ it was awesome. Great value. It is so big, I had 2 meals out of it. I would recommend either one of them for the money. I recommend McAlister's anyway because all their food is freshly made daily. "Normally great but when you pay 14.00 for a potato you expect to have protein on it. I had literally 2 bite size pieces of pulled pork and the wife had very little meat on hers as well. Taste was still good and fresh it just seems they got skimpy on toppings"

I ordered the 3 sides/veggie plate. Great quality corn, mashed potatoes & green beans. I just HAD TO STOP & write about their HUGE bowl full of the AMAZINGLY delicious peach Cobbler. It had the perfect balance of the sweet breading & peaches. Many places contain too much of a fruit in their cobblers, but this is as delicious as my mom's & grandma's cobbler. We'll be ordering dinners from there on a busy weekday soon. Hopefully, hubby will get a desert next time, so I can try their other options, but I'll never NOT order the peach cobbler from this restaurant. 5 plus stars for this place! "
"Portions are very generous and you will have enough left for lunch the next day. The catfish arrived hot and crispy with tartar sauce that had a hint of mustard and dill. The fried chicken tenders were fork tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. The fried sweet potatoes have a delicate sweet taste, not overwhelming or too sweet. Great meal."

They also have less fat under the skin than other options I've had, although I wouldn't consider them to be lean. They have some good flavors, although I wish they would add 1 or 2 more so I can get more variety, since I get these once a week."
