Dave's has added its own unique touch to traditional hot chicken, using what seems to be a wet dredge with powdered spices instead of traditional nashville hot chicken which is dunked in a wet hot sauce. I ordered the brisket baked potato with sour cream, cheese, and chives. The potatoes are huge with a LOT of room for the ingredients. Unfortunately, big Bob doesn't seem to want to fill the potatoes.
There were no chives at all. There was a pinch of cheese and the rest of the potato was filled with brisket fat. With the exception of a couple of pebble-sized pieces of meat, the ENTIRE serving of brisket was fat. I get that brisket can be a little fatty but this was a case of the fat being a little brisket-y.
As I have no desire to pay $17 for a plain baked potato again, I will NOT be giving this place any more of my business and can't, in good conscious, let this go without making others aware of it.
