Second time ordering I got fried chicken and it also was crispy, flavourful and extremely delicious with the butter gravy and mango sauce. Tonight was my favourite meal yet with the lemon pepper grilled chicken, a biscuit and butter gravy. The chicken was juicy, hot, and absolutely incredible. "I would not say that their fried chicken meets their outstanding price and reputation. While they are perfectly crispy, their flavour doesn't leave much of an impression. That may just be fried chicken in general, though.
Their onion rings were a similar story. They aren't as crispy as you would like them to be, and they don't taste like much. I might even say the onions themselves were a bit mushy.
The best items I had were their Cajun Fries and biscuits. Maybe because I'm just a loon for potatoes and pastries, but I thought they were perfect!
In summary: I thought it was bland and isn't worth the high price. Won't be ordering from Popeye's again."
