"I am leaving 5 stars across the board for two reasons listed below, but let me preface that I placed a Doordash order.
TLDR: Andrew and the back of the house crew fulfilled a special request that I called to make for my Doordash order. It was delicious, and I am an extremely thankful and satisfied customer.
First: The pizza was FANTASTIC. The crust is done to perfection without any uncooked dough and perfectly crisp. The toppings are well distributed around the pizza, and the perfect amount was put on the pizza. The freshness of the ingredients is evident by the incredible flavor.
Second: I am a trucker that is shut down for my rest break at the Pilot Travel Center in Troutman, so I had to have this Doordashed to me. I’m from Mississippi, and we have a restaurant that is local to the state called Lost Pizza Company. One of their signature pizzas is called The Lucille. The Lucille is a chicken bacon ranch pizza with a pizza sauce base, sliced roma tomatoes, and minced garlic in addition to the obvious and the ranch is drizzled on top of the pizza instead of being the sauce base. It is my absolute favorite pizza there, and I was REALLY craving it, so I called Hawthorne’s after not having any luck with customization at other places on Doordash. The ONLY option they were missing was to have a ranch drizzle on top. An employee by the name of Andrew answered the phone, he listened to me explain my request, and expressed that he was happy to pass my request along to the kitchen. My request was fulfilled, and I am an EXTREMELY happy customer. Obviously it isn’t the exact same as what I get back home, but it was still very good and satisfied this truckers craving for a slice of home!! Thank you Andrew, thank you back of the house, and thank you Hawthorne’s!!! Ya’ll are AWESOME!!!"
